Abe Mudbox Sculpt

School assignment. My first real sculpt in Mudbox.
We had a week (well, 5 monday-friday to be precise) for this assignment. My first thought was that I wanted to do something from Oddworld, but then I thought that maybe it would be too much of a challenge so instead I Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII.
A really, really bad decision it would turn out. Didn't get her basemesh done and working until thursday (tried to do a full body character) and spent the whole friday sculpting in despair. Felt like the reverse Midas, everything I touched turned to crap...
After some pep talk from my hubbie and some advice on how to get started I returned to Mudbox on saturday and made this. Today I colored it and made some last tweaks.
So in the end not much of the time we were given went into the final result, but I sure learnt a lot from failing so hard the first time, I guess.
I feel pretty pleased with this one, seeing how it is my first go at sculpting, but I still feel it's not quiiiiite the Abe I know and love.
